A Scrivener Micro-Mini How To
Let’s say you want to change a chapter or scene title in Scrivener’s Binder. For years I copied and pasted or typed it in. But there’s a much better way if you’ve already typed the words into the body of the scene—what the Scrivener folks call the Editor. It’s where I do all of my writing.
- Highlight the words in the Editor.
- Right click.
- From the drop down menu, choose Set Selected Text as Title.
- The Title changes in the Binder.
That’s it! And it’s important, because there’s no double typing which for me, means error. Later—MUCH later—these will become my chapter titles when I compile my Scrivener file to Word or to an ebook.
